Orang Asli Village
The Semelai are one of the aboriginal, or Orang Asli, peoples of central Malaya (peninsular Malaysia). They speak Semelai, a language belonging to the Mon-Khmer Family, probably the most ancient in mainland Southeast Asia. The Semelai who live around the sprawling lake call themselves Semaq Tasik, the "Lake People." These people have long focused their lives around the lake, Tasek Bera, while striking out away from it to farm, hunt, and collect forest products.

Persona Lake Resort






The Lake Resort, the only accommodation available within Tasik Bera reserve. Sited atop a forested hill and overlooking the lake, the resort affords great views of the surrounding scenery.It offers great view of the surrounding scenery.

The resort offers two exclusive dormitories, each can accommodate 20 persons, a chalet for 2 and 4-roomed Rest House that can accommodate 2 people in each room and a camping ground with basic facilities.

Bera Lake, Pahang



Bera Lake in is a natural fresh water  lake system, located in southwest Pahang, Malaysia in the saddle of the main and eastern mountain ranges of Peninsular Malaysia, extending 35 km long and 20 km wide, drainings into thePahang River.


As the largest freshwater swamp in Peninsular Malaysia, Tasik Bera or Bera Lake remains both a unique and remote wetland wilderness. Surrounded by a patchwork of dry lowland dipterocarp forests, the lake environment includes islands of peat swamp forests. Rich in wildlife and vegetation, the ecosystem which supports a diversity of animal and plant life, and sustains the livelihood of the Semelai branch of the Orang Asli people inhabiting the wetlands.

It has been protected under the Ramsar Convention since November 1994, which allows traditional use of the area to continue. The core zone consists of 260 km² and the buffer zone of 275 km².
